Three horses standing at attention—something catching their attention in the pasture beyond the driveway.  Catching three of the herd at this moment was a happy chance—just before they turned in sync and galloped away.  Cash, Beau, and Dulce, the California oaks rising soft and green behind them, the light turning everything to gold—three horses who belong completely to this place.   Some images are portraits.  This one is a slice of the Santa Ynez Valley.
